Police conducted a raid in the Ruimveldt, Riverview squatting area yesterday.

Approximately 87 grams of suspected cannabis and 3.14 grams of Molly, along with a .32 JAS Maganum firearm and ammunition, were found under a nearby bridge and logged at the Ruimveldt Police Station.

Despite questioning individuals in the area, no useful information was obtained, and no CCTV cameras were present.

No arrests have been made regarding these findings.

Meanwhile, during a routine stop and search operation between the area of Robb and Regent Streets Georgetown, yesterday, the police found a 9mm Luger pistol and 8 matching rounds in motor car PRR 6945, driven by Orin Agard, 53, a taxi driver from Princess Street, Georgetown.

The firearm was discovered stuck between the driver’s seat and the front compartment.

Agard denied ownership of a firearm license, both the driver and the female occupant were then taken into custody at the Alberttown Police Station.
