Some of the Top Performers of the Grade 6 Assessment

Chief Education Officer Dr. Marcelle Hutson in providing a brief of the National Grade Six Assessment noted that more than 14,000 students wrote the examination on July 01-02, 2020.

According to Hutson noted that Mathematics, English, Science and Social Studies were the areas studied.

528 marks was the highest possible that a student could have attained.

All administrative regions reported an increase in the performance subject areas of English, Social Studies and Science. There was a slight decrease in mathematics.

The increase in performance by the students are as a result of parent involvement, monitors which were placed into the school system, and other stakeholders involvement according to the Chief Education Officer.
