Businessman dies, reportedly by suicide

Woman takes her life after checking into short-time hotel

Detectives are investigating the death of 53 Year Old police. The man Ganshan Hanman is a farmer of Lot 91 Block X Corneila Ida, West Coast Demerara.

BIG Smith News Watch has been informed that about 10:00 hours at the Hague, West Coast Demerara, the businessman reportedly committed the act..

Enquiries disclosed that about 05:45 hours, the wife of the man said she went down stairs but did not see her husband.

She tried calling his cellular phone but it went unanswered. The woman took a decision to leave home and went to the farm she did not see him. About half an hour after the wife’s visit to the farm, a cousin of the man was asked to go at the farm and check on him.

On the arrival of the cousin he saw the victim laying on the ground in the farm facing upwards with what appears to be blood coming from his mouth. The man tried to lift the victim and at the same time but the gun fell from the victim’s hand.

The cousin immediately reported the matter to the police who arrived and escorted the victim to the Leonora Cottage Hospital, where he was seen and examined by a Doctor on duty and pronounced dead.
