Six sent to jail for GTT’s Outlet robbery at Giftland Mall

Six sent to jail for GTT’s Outlet robbery at Giftland Mall

25-year-old Andrea Dover a cleaner of lot 616 D Field Sophia, 30-Year-old Priecy Roberts a businessman of lot 22 Tucville Georgetown 27-year-old Ashley Mansfield a Cleaner of lot 100 Victoria Road Plaisance, East Coast Demerara 24-year-old Jamal Haley a laborer of lot 461 D Field Sophia, East Coast Demerara, 24-year-old Ryan Goodluck unemployed of lot 928 Herstelling Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara and 39 Year Old Osman Brummell a vendor of lot 63 Cross Street Werk-En-Rusk were all remanded to jail today when they appear at the Sparendaam Magistrates Court.

They were all charged with robbery under arms which was committed at the Guyana Telephone and telegraph Company’s outlet store inside the Giftland Mall on September 09, 2022.

When the charge was read to them, they all pleaded not guilty. The matter comes up again on October 26, 2022.

The police last weekend were able to arrest the suspects who were involved and connected to the robbery. On the night in question, persons dressed as the security company representatives who are contracted by the company to uplift their day’s sale went into the Giftland Mall Complex and robbed the outlet store of GTT.
