Two young police constables namely 222916 Garraway and 24255 Connelly attached to the East LaPenitence Police Station on Tuesday spent some time lecturing drivers of Green Ice Taxi about proper road usage.

The move can be seen as a welcomed one since there is often numerous reports from road users and passengers about the conduct of taxi drivers including those attached to this taxi service and the manner in which they use the road.

The Five Cs’ was top of the lecture agenda along with guidance on speed limits, steps to be taken when involved in an accident, overtaking, use of the bicycle lanes, use of the roundabouts, new road links, private hire, parking, traffic lights, care of the passengers, conduct of drivers and personal hygiene.

Recently, a passenger engaged a lawyer with a view of taking legal action against a driver from the said service who refused to take him to his destination.
