First Lady Arya Ali this afternoon handed over a cheque of an undisclosed amount to founder of the Guyana Cancer Foundation Bibi Hassan to assist the with fight against cancer.

The donation was made while on the Main Street Avenue in Georgetown as the First Lady’s Office, United States Embassy, Impressions and the Guyana Caner Foundation teamed up for a tree wrapping and branding exercise in support of those living with, fighting and died as a result of cancer.

A gathering of survivors, supporters and well wishers gathered at the simple event held today.
