Two Arrested at Bus Park with Unlicensed Firearm, Ammo

October 21 2024 – Two men were arrested today in a police operation at the Timehri bus park in Georgetown after being found with an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
According to a police report, the operation, which took place around 10:30 AM, was intelligence-led and targeted a black Nissan Juke vehicle with registration number PZZ 4712.

Upon stopping and searching the vehicle, police officers discovered a 9mm pistol, a magazine, and ten 9mm rounds of ammunition.
The driver, Jerry Anderson, and his passenger, Raphael Watts, a 37-year-old gold miner from Zeelugt Housing Scheme, were both taken into custody.
They are currently being held at the Brickdam Police Station, where they are assisting with the ongoing investigation.
