Guyana’s dining scene took a major step forward last evening with the official opening of Texas de Brazil, marked by a grand launch and ribbon-cutting ceremony at MovieTowne Mall.

The arrival of one of the world’s largest and most recognized steakhouse chains adds a new level of sophistication to the local culinary landscape.

The restaurant delivers a premium fine-dining experience, seamlessly blending authentic Brazilian flavours with American-style cuisine, featuring an impressive selection of expertly prepared meats, fresh salads, and decadent desserts.

Guests are immersed in an elegant setting, with soft lighting, calming music, and a welcoming, professional team, making Texas de Brazil an ideal destination for upscale dining and special occasions.

The venture was spearheaded by entrepreneur Chin and his team, and has been widely described as a welcomed addition to Guyana’s rapidly evolving food and hospitality sector.

Its launch reflects the growing confidence that international brands continue to place in Guyana’s economic growth and long-term potential.

Minister of Tourism Susan Rodrigues, speaking on behalf of President Dr Irfaan Ali and Director of Tourism Kamrul Baksh, emphasized that investments of this scale play a vital role in strengthening Guyana’s hospitality product, generating employment, and broadening the range of experiences available to both locals and visitors.

She noted that the opening of Texas de Brazil represents more than the debut of a restaurant, but a meaningful milestone in Guyana’s tourism and economic development.

The presence of a global brand, she said, sends a strong signal that Guyana is transitioning from promise to progress, with national growth translating into real improvements in the lives of families and communities across the country.

With its doors now officially open, Texas de Brazil stands as both a culinary landmark and a symbol of Guyana’s continued rise on the global stage.
