Public Advisory- Bridge Damage at Stanley Town, WBD

‘In the past 36 hours, the Ministry of Public Works engineers and technical officials in Region Three have detected structural damage to the bridge at Stanley Town, West Bank Demerara.

This issue has since worsened in the past four hours.

However, a multi-sectoral team is currently on-site to assess the extent of the damage and begin necessary repairs.

As a precaution, trucks and other heavy vehicles are temporarily restricted from using the bridge.

Further updates will be provided as repairs progress.

The Ministry appreciates your patience and cooperation.’
