KILLED IN 2017: Dornell Pompey

Jarell Tayler of Plaisance who was accused of Dornell Pompey back in December 2017, was arrested for the crime in Bartica on Wednesday.

Pompey formerly of 76 Prince William Street Plaisance died on Christmas Day of the same year while receiving medical attention.

Taylor has been in hiding since 2017 after an altercation between him and Pompey which saw them getting into in a fight with Taylor stabbing Pompey with a broken bottle.

BIG Smith News Watch was informed that after Taylor was observed walking pass the station, ranks who saw him acting in a suspicious manner approached him and pulled him in for questioning.

Checks were made with the various divisions and it was at this point that it became known that the young man was a fugitive, he was reportedly told of the offense which he committed back in 2017 and provided the police with a statement admitting that he indeed committed the crime.

Arrangements are being made to have brought to the city where he will travel to the East Coast Demerara so that police detectives in that district can conduct their work and prepare him for court.

Back in 2017, the mother of dead Dornell Pompey said that her son was living in fear and was being taken advantage of. She spoke of him sleeping with two Pitbull Dogs at his bedside.

The woman had indicated that he was not liked in the community because he stood out from many of the other villagers and refused to lime in their company.

“They give us, they give the family a big Christmas present that we will never open” she related during an interview at her son’s home back in 2017.
