The second night of the Guinness Greatest of the Streets in Georgetown brought an electric atmosphere as teams fought fiercely for dominance in the preliminary rounds. Bent St B made a striking impression with a resounding 3-0 victory over the Unity Ballers, setting a high standard early on.

Team Cruel shocked the crowd by overpowering the Corinthians with a stunning 4-1 score, confirming their place as a serious contender in the tournament. Meanwhile, Laing Avenue barely edged out the Gaza Squad with a 1-0 win, and Z-Tekk followed suit with a similar victory against North Ruimveldt. Albouystown showed their mettle with a closely fought 2-1 triumph over Young Stars, while North East La Penitence secured a narrow 1-0 win over the K-town All-Stars, showcasing their solid defense. Leopold kept their momentum intact with a 1-0 win against Kingston, wrapping up the night was the National All-Stars, who triumphed 2-0 over Team Madrid, leaving a strong impression as the preliminary rounds concluded.

Looking ahead to Wednesday evening’s Day 3, the Round of 16 is set to ignite the tournament with high-stakes contests. Key matchups include Z-Tekk facing Bent St B at 19:00hrs, followed by Albouystown against Leopold at 19:30hrs. Fans can also expect riveting showdowns like Team Cruel versus New Bay Ballers and the Island All-Stars clashing with Broad St, all taking place at the National Cultural Centre Tarmac.
