MV BARIMA DISTRESS: another crew member unaccounted for…

Rawle Frank, a 34-year-old resident of Number 40 Village, West Coast Berbice, is among the crew members who were onboard the distressed MV Barima, which sank off the coast of Essequibo between July 18 and 19, 2026, while on a voyage from Georgetown to Port Kaituma.
His cousin, Collette Frank Griffith, told BIG Smith News Watch that Frank had been working as a crew member aboard the vessel for approximately 12 years.
The family is awaiting further information on his whereabouts following the vessel’s capsizing.
