MORE THAN ONE HUNDRED MILLION IN MARIJUANA AND COCAINE DESTROYED

The Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit and the Guyana Police Force moments ago destroyed a quantity of marijuana, cocaine and heroin.

The destruction represents the illegal substance which were seized from persons and for which the matters in the courts including appeal hearings have concluded.

The cocaine destroyed by the police and CANU carries a local street value of approximately $96.6 million while the local street value for the total amount of Marijuana destroyed by the two agency stands at approximately $91.1 million.
