One prison escapee recaptured; three more to go

RECAPTURED PRISONER: Sasenarine Bisnauth

The Guyana Police Force on Thursday morning announced that on Wednesday evening they were able to recapture one of the men who escaped from the Lusignan Prison holding Bay.

Recaptured is Sasenarine Bisnauth of 22 Tuschen Housing Scheme, East Bank Essequibo.

Bisnauth along with three other prisoners; Kenraul Perez, Ganesh Dhanraj, and Anthony Padmore escaped from the prison on April 20, triggering a police manhunt for them.

According to the police statement on the recapture of Sasenarine, he was found in the cane fields aback the Beterverwagting Sideline Dam, East Coast Demerara. He was recaptured without any incident and was at the time carrying a cutlass.
