“Mohamed” Seeks Polygraph to Prove Innocence in Sex Scandal

–-Denies All Allegations by 17-Year-Old, Condemns Sexual Predatory Behavior

Attorney Eusi Anderson, Retained by Businessman Azruddin Mohamed, Issues Statement Amid Viral Sexual Assault Allegations

“We, Eusi Anderson, Renea Marcus and Casside Nurse are retained by Team Mohamed’s and

Azruddin Mohamed in respect of certain allegations which aired on February 10th, 2025.

Those allegations were broadcast in an interview with Mikhail Rodrigues. They involved a seventeen

(17) year old minor child, making grave allegations against Team Mohamed’s and Azruddin

Mohamed. We have been directed to respond as ensues:

1. Team Mohamed’s and Azruddin Mohamed vehemently refute and wholeheartedly reject

all claims of sexual misconduct, sexual impropriety or predatory sexual behavior against

the minor child, and anyone else involved in the broadcast made by the alleged victim

against Team Mohamed’s and Azruddin Mohamed in the interview broadcast on 10th

February, 2025. We take umbrage to the mention of Team Mohamed’s and any allegations

of sexual impropriety against Mohamed.

2. Team Mohamed’s and Azruddin Mohamed pledge their unwavering support to all victims

of sexual assault, sexual abuse and exploitation. We remain disposed to assisting all

victims of sexual abuse, sexual predation in whatever way we can. We implore the minor

to make an official report and come forward to the authorities as soon as possible.

3. We condemn any kind of sexual predation or exploitation of our First People, especially

the young and vulnerable.

4. Team Mohamed’s and Azruddin Mohamed are ready, willing and able to submit

themselves to any polygraph test, administered by competent professionals, be they at the

FBI, Scotland Yard or any other International Agency to corroborate their denial of the

allegations made against them.

We would not discharge our duty as Counsel to Team Mohamed’s and Azruddin Mohamed if we

didn’t draw the public’s attention to obvious lacunae in the broadcast, which we detail below:

1. It beggars belief that a minor child appeared on a national, public interview, with her face

obscured but her parents absent while being interviewed by another adult. There are laws

which prescribe the manner in which these interviews are to be conducted

1. Questions ought to be asked and answers ought to be given forthwith, as to whether or

not the minor child sought the proper help, in the proper sequence. It is our considered

view that any victim of sexual exploitation and/or predation, especially a child, ought to

have engaged the Police, first; second, the necessary medical, social healthcare and

counselling professionals, and if as an after-thought the Media, last. If it becomes clear

that that sequence has not been followed, there are more questions than answers as a

result of the interview.

1. While we maintain that all sexual assault victims require the support they need to

overcome the evil visited upon them, we take note of the fact that the Toshao for the

villages mentioned in the video publication have denied knowledge of the alleged victim

as being a member of their community. It must not elude capture that Amerindian

communities are small communities where almost everyone is known to the Toshao at a

family level.

1. We ask the public to consider that on 30* January, 2024, the Ministry of Education issued

a circular that all philanthropic activities conducted at Schools required consent from the

relevant authorities. For any assault to have occurred in December 2024,

contemporaneous with a philanthropic school visit by Team Mohamed’s and Azruddin

Mohamed in that region, it must have been sanctioned by the relevant authorities, having

regard to the Ministry of Education circular, which predated the said visit. In the

circumstances, the relevant authorities are urged to publish, immediately:

(i) The prior informed consent of the Headteachers of the village schools Mr.

Azruddin Mohamed and Team Mohamed’s allegedly visited in December, 2024,

especially the ones mentioned by the alleged victim.

(ii) The Toshao’s permission, in whatever format it takes, for Team Mohamed’s and

Azruddin Mohamed to enter upon the lands in the villages named by the alleged

victim, to conduct philanthropic activities in December, 2024. These records will

urgently bring the relief needed to the victim, and clarity the public needs, in such

a matter of profound public consequence.

We are reminded that in 2015, immediately prior to his maiden election as Prime Minister of the

Republic to Trinidad and Tobago, similar grave sexual allegations were made against The

Honourable Dr. Keith Rowley by the then incumbent Administration. Dr. Rowley demits office,

on his terms, after nine years in office in a few short days.

We invite every Guyanese to support and help the needy and vulnerable members of our society especially victims of any kind of sexual predation.”
