December 18, 2024 – The Ministry of Education today commenced a two-day Regional Education Officers Review and Projection Session aimed at reflecting on the achievements of 2024 and planning strategically for 2025.

This critical gathering brings together Regional Education Officers (REdOs) from Regions 1-10, the Principal Education Officer (PEO) of Georgetown, the Deputy Chief Education Officer responsible for Administration, and the Assistant Chief Education Officers (ACEOs) responsible for Nursery, Primary, Secondary, Literacy, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), and SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).

As the Ministry prepares to bring the curtains down on another year, this session provides a platform for reflection, evaluation, and forward planning.
Over the next two days, Regional Education Officers will deliver comprehensive presentations reviewing their accomplishments, challenges, and lessons learned throughout 2024 while sharing detailed projections and strategies for the upcoming year. These discussions will highlight success stories and identify areas where additional support and collaboration are needed to address persistent challenges in the education sector.
ACEOs will also contribute by presenting their evaluations of key education subsectors under their purview. They will provide insights into their departments’ performance, discuss areas for improvement, and propose measures to enhance the delivery of education across all levels. The event reflects the Ministry’s commitment to fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
The sessions, being held on December 17 and 18, 2024, underscore the Ministry’s dedication to ensuring a robust and inclusive education system that meets the needs of every child. As the Ministry looks toward 2025, this gathering serves as a catalyst for innovative solutions and strengthened partnerships, setting the stage for continued progress in the education sector.
