Jarell Taylor, known as “Meaty,” a 26-year-old miner from Lot 53, Britton Street, Plaisance, East Coast Demerara, was remanded to prison after appearing at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court.

Taylor was charged with possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking, specifically 247 grams of cannabis. The charge was read to him in court, where he pleaded not guilty.

Following the hearing, he was remanded to custody until the next court date.

The case has been adjourned and is scheduled to be revisited on December 18, 2025.
