Min Bharrat Engages Taushida Village Residents in Regional Outreach

June 10 2025
As part of ongoing national outreach efforts, Minister of Natural Resources Vickram Bharrat hosted a community engagement with residents of Taushida Village, Region Nine, on Tuesday afternoon. The meeting was aimed at strengthening communication between government officials and Indigenous and hinterland communities to support inclusive national development.
Minister Bharrat was accompanied by Regional Executive Officer Karl Singh and a team of representatives from the Ministry of Natural Resources and its affiliated agencies. The outreach provided residents with an opportunity to raise concerns, seek clarity on government programmes, and receive updates on development initiatives targeting the region.
This visit forms part of the government’s wider commitment to ensuring that all communities—regardless of location—are included in the country’s development agenda. By maintaining direct and consistent dialogue with residents across all regions, the administration continues to advance its goal of equitable development nationwide.
Officials reaffirmed their dedication to ensuring that villages such as Taushida benefit from national programmes and resources, with a focus on improving infrastructure, access to services, and economic opportunities in hinterland regions.
