Martyr’s Ville man fined for dangerous driving, one-way street breach

A 31-year-old man from the East Coast of Demerara has been fined a total of $90,000 after pleading guilty to dangerous driving and breaching a one-way street regulation.
Narendra Jherry of Martyrβs Ville, Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara, was arrested on March 9, 2026, in connection with the offences which occurred on March 8, 2026.
Jherry appeared before Senior Magistrate C. Nurse at the Sparendaam Magistrateβs Court on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, where the charges were read to him.
He was charged with Dangerous Driving, and Breach of a One-Way Street.
Jherry pleaded guilty to both offences and was subsequently fined $50,000 for dangerous driving and $40,000 for breaching the one-way street regulation.
