A 38-year-old Linden man has been remanded to prison after being charged with the murder of Wayne Tevin Wilson of Scheme Hill, Wismar.

Johnathan De Souza, also known as “Johnny,” an unemployed resident of Lovers Lane, South Amelia’s Ward, Linden, appeared before Magistrate Rushell Liverpool at the Linden Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, June 4, 2026.

De Souza, who was arrested on May 31, 2026, was formally charged with murder, contrary to Common Law, in connection with Wilson’s death.

The charge was read to him, but he was not required to enter a plea.

He was subsequently remanded to prison, and the matter was adjourned to July 10, 2026.
