Linden Man, 72, Killed in Suspected Hit-and-Run

Police in Linden have launched an investigation into the suspected hit-and-run death of 72-year-old Randolph Braithwaite, whose body was discovered early Saturday morning, June 7, 2025.
According to reports, Braithwaite, a resident of 1369 Central Amelia’s Ward, Linden, was found lying on the southern parapet of the 3rd corner of the Amelia’s Ward access road with visible lacerations across his body. The injuries are believed to be consistent with those typically sustained in a vehicular collision.
Police suspect that Braithwaite was struck by an unknown vehicle—or vehicles—during the early hours of the morning.
He was transported to the Linden Hospital Complex by police ranks, where he was pronounced dead on arrival by Dr. Joseph.
His body has since been transferred to the Jetsco Funeral Home for storage, pending a post-mortem examination.
Investigators are currently pursuing all available leads in the ongoing probe.
