29-Y-O Rondell Clarke, a construction worker from Lot 413 Foulis, East Coast Demerara, was shot dead Sunday evening.

According to police reports, the incident took place between 19:30 and 19:45 hours at Second Street, Foulis.

A 25-year-old male security officer attached to Force Security Service has been arrested in connection with the shooting.

His licensed firearm was also seized by investigators.

According to police, Clarke was allegedly shot by the security officer.

He was found conscious at the scene by responding ranks and was immediately transported to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation, where he was admitted to the critical surgical unit. Despite efforts to save him, Clarke was pronounced dead at approximately 20:20 hours.
