Jumbo Jet Auto Sales, a leading name in Guyana’s automotive industry, has been awarded the prestigious “Dealer of the Year” title at the annual Sinotruk Global Partners Conference held in Mexico City.

This accolade recognizes the company’s exceptional performance in truck sales, particularly within the Americas division, which includes Central America, South America, Mexico, and the Caribbean.

Founded in 1994 by Nasrudeen Mohamed SNR, Jumbo Jet Auto Sales has grown to become Guyana’s largest dealer in heavy-duty equipment and trucks. Initially known for importing high-quality foreign-used equipment, the company made a strategic move three years ago by signing an exclusive contract with SINOTRUK, a major Chinese truck manufacturer, to become the sole distributor of new trucks in Guyana.

SINOTRUK, the largest truck manufacturer in China and part of the China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Co., Ltd., has a storied history of innovation, having developed the country’s first heavy-duty truck. This year alone, SINOTRUK exported an impressive 68,000 units to dealers worldwide, making Mr. Mohamed’s achievement even more remarkable as he stood out among over 600 dealers across 30 countries.

The award was presented to Mr. Mohamed by Wang Zhijian, General Manager of Shandong Heavy Industry Group and Chairman of SINOTRUK, during a ceremony attended by top executives, including Zhaohua, Chairman of SINOTRUK International.

The event also provided Mr. Mohamed with an exclusive opportunity for a one-on-one meeting with the SINOTRUK Chairman, further strengthening the partnership between Jumbo Jet Auto Sales and the Chinese trucking giant.

During the ceremony, Mr. Mohamed’s daughter, Melissa Chattergoon-Shariff, delivered a presentation highlighting the growth and success of Jumbo Jet Auto Sales. The presentation celebrated the family legacy and the company’s significant progress over the years.

This recognition underscores Jumbo Jet Auto Sales’ commitment to excellence and its pivotal role in the heavy-duty equipment market in Guyana and beyond.

The company continues to expand its offerings, with plans to introduce thousands of new trucks to meet the growing demand in Guyana. Additionally, Jumbo Jet Auto Sales is building a new parts and service station dedicated exclusively to SINOTRUK vehicles, aiming to maintain the brand’s leading position in the Guyanese market.

An opening ceremony for this new facility will be held in the near future, further cementing Jumbo Jet Auto Sales’ reputation as a key player in Guyana’s automotive industry. As the company looks to the future, it remains committed to driving growth and innovation, ensuring it stays at the forefront of the industry for years to come.
