Hundreds to Benefit from Dream Realised Housing Drive at Tain

March 18 2025- Hundreds of families from across Region Six are set to become homeowners as they receive residential lots during the Dream Realised Housing Drive at the University of Guyana’s Tain Campus.
This initiative, led by the Ministry of Housing and Water, marks another step in the government’s commitment to making homeownership more accessible to Guyanese families.
The allocations include residential lots in the soon-to-be-developed Hogstye and New Moleson Creek housing developments in East Berbice-Corentyne.

With billions of dollars already earmarked for infrastructure development, the Ministry has pledged to make these lands available by the end of the year. Planned upgrades will feature land clearing, road construction, bridge building, and improved drainage systems, ensuring modern and sustainable living conditions for future residents.
Once completed, Hogstye and New Moleson Creek are expected to become some of the most sought-after housing developments in the region.

These communities will not only provide residential spaces but will also feature hotels, banks, transportation terminals, entertainment facilities, and restaurants, making them hubs of economic and social activity.
To assist new homeowners, several commercial banks, Guyana Water Incorporated, and insurance companies are present at the event, offering essential services to streamline the homeownership process.
The Dream Realised Housing Drive continues to play a vital role in achieving the government’s vision of expanding homeownership and enhancing community development across Guyana.
