Hot pursuit leaves two dead, others injured

A fatal accident on Wednesday claimed the life of 21 year old Christopher Bhagwandat and his girlfriend, leaving several others injured including three Police Officers. The injured persons were rushed to the hospital for medical attention.

The accident occurred just before midday and involved four vehicles on the Western end of the Mahaica bridge., Region Four. The Vehicle involved are a Police Pickup,two motor cars and a canter truck.

This publication was reliably informed by an eyewitness that just around midday, the Police Pickup was observed on a highspeed chase of a blue motor vehicle. The driver of the vehicle reportedly lost control and slammed into the corridor of the bridge, before colliding with the canter truck and the other motorcar that was proceeding in the opposite direction.

Those injured in the accident are currently patients at the Georgetown Public Hospital. The BigsmithNewswatch will bring you more information as it becomes available.
