Guyana is set to host the 2024 edition of the Caribbean Investment Forum.

This announcement was made by Deputy Executive Director at the Caribbean Export Development Agency Leo Naut.

Naut disclosed this at the closing ceremony of the forum, which took place in the Bahamas on Wednesday.

During this symbolic moment, John Pinder II, the Parliamentary Secretary for Tourism, Investments, and Aviation in the Bahamas, handed over the hosting responsibilities to Guyana’s Minister of Tourism, Industry, and Commerce, Oneidge Walrond.

The Caribbean Investment Forum brings together the investment community to engage with businesses and create business. It serves as the hub for the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and the formulation of critical business and investment agreements.

The forum is also designed to raise the visibility of the Caribbean as an investment destination and aims to attract investment into the priority sectors that can fast-track the Caribbean’s transition to a greener and smarter economy. Notably, it places a distinct focus on key priority areas such as agricultural technology, logistics and transportation, and renewable energy, specifically targeting investment efforts towards these sectors.

This year’s event was held in the Bahamas from October 23-25.
