Guyana Digital School Launched to Advance Modern Learning

In an effort to build a modern, inclusive and digitally prepared society, the Guyana Digital School at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre, marking a significant step in the country’s push to build a modern, inclusive, and digitally prepared society.
Minister of Education Sonia Parag described the launch as a defining moment for Guyana’s education sector, noting that the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to delivering accessible learning opportunities for every student.
She reported that 20,368 students from Grades 10 and 11 have already enrolled in the platform, which integrates technology-driven tools, interactive online instruction by trained teachers, an extensive digital library, and AI-supported learning resources.
“This is not an abandonment of traditional schooling, it is the strengthening of it,” Minister Parag said.
President Dr. Irfaan Ali, who conceptualised the project, described the launch as an important milestone for Guyana and a step forward for regional integration.
