The intercepted vessel named ‘Dora’

Personnel from the Guyana Revenue Authority’s Enforcement arm intercepted a vessel, ‘MV Dora”, Sunday evening with suspected smuggled fuel.

The authorities suspect that the fuel may have been smuggled into the country.

BIG Smith News Watch has been informed that the vessel was intercepted in the general Parika, Essequibo area. This led to the arrest of three persons who were on the vessel.

The name(s) for the owner(s) of the vessel are yet to be made public.

Enforcement officers familiar with the information indicated to this publication that the operation was incident free as there was no need to use force or fire power.
