Football officials remember Skeete during awareness walk

Members of the Guyana football Referees Council honour Maurees Skeete at Breast Cancer awareness walk
Members of the Guyana Football Referees Council joined Georgetown’s Breast Cancer Awareness Walk in remembrance of former colleague Maurees Skeete.
Skeete died in January following a battle with breast cancer. The officials used the occasion to support screening and early detection while recognising her contribution to football refereeing.
Former referee and past council president Dr Alfred King participated alongside the group. GFF third vice-president Dion Inniss also paid tribute to Skeete’s work and the lasting memories she left among fellow officials.
