CH&PA Reaffirms Transparency in Commercial Land Sales

February 1 2025- The Central Housing and Planning Authority (CH&PA) has reiterated its commitment to transparency and fairness in the acquisition of commercial lands, emphasizing that the process remains open to all eligible companies and individuals.
In a statement issued on January 31, 2025, the CH&PA assured the public that all transactions, including recent commercial land sales, adhered strictly to established protocols.
The Ministry of Housing and Water had publicly advertised a call for Expressions of Interest from housing developers, attracting multiple applicants who met the required criteria.
To maintain fairness, the CH&PA confirmed that a uniform price of $30 million per acre was applied to all developers, with no preferential rates or special considerations granted to any entity.
Additionally, companies acquiring prime commercial lands must comply with strict contractual agreements governing property use. Any violations will result in penalties as outlined in the agreements.
The CH&PA reaffirmed its dedication to a fair and transparent allocation process for both residential and commercial lands, aligning with national development objectives. The agency also urged the public to remain vigilant against misinformation that seeks to undermine the integrity of the process.
