“Coolie” on the Run for Murdering 16-Y-O Wife

January 30 2025- Police are investigating the alleged murder of 16-year-old Janelly David, who was reportedly beaten to death at Barama Line, Baramita, in the North West District between Wednesday, January 29, and Thursday, January 30, 2025.
The suspect has been identified as 40-year-old Eon Moore called ‘Coolie’, who allegedly fled the scene on an ATV, heading toward the Five-Star backdam.
According to a police report, around 11:00 a.m. today, police ranks from the Baramita Police Station, along with Medic Edghilo of Baramita Cottage Hospital, arrived at the scene—a makeshift camp measuring approximately 12×18 feet.
Upon examination, officers discovered David lying motionless, face-up in a hammock. She was dressed in a peach-colored top and black shorts. Investigators noted visible marks of violence on her right eye and swelling at the back of her head.
Preliminary inquiries indicate that David and Moore were in a common-law relationship and lived together at the time of her death.
Persons nearby told police that the couple was last seen together on the evening of January 29, and David appeared to be in good health, and at approximately 10:30 a.m. today, Moore packing his belongings onto a red Suzuki all-terrain vehicle (ATV) without a registration number.
When the camp cook inquired about David’s whereabouts, Moore reportedly responded, “She’s sleeping in her hammock.” Suspicious, the cook checked the hammock and discovered David unresponsive with visible injuries. Before she could react, Moore sped off on the ATV.
The police were immediately notified, and David’s body was transported to Baramita Cottage Hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Law enforcement have launched a manhunt for Moore as investigations continue.
