In a breathtaking display of skill and determination, Chase Academic Foundation stormed to victory in the Massy Under-18 School Football Tournament finals, held on Saturday evening at the Ministry of Education ground.

From the moment the whistle blew, Chase wasted no time making their mark. Greeted by the esteemed Minister of Sports, Steven Jacobs, they set the pitch ablaze, with Dimani Hardy netting a sensational goal just two minutes in!

But the real fireworks came from the tournament’s leading scorer and Most Valuable Player, who unleashed an unstoppable hat-trick at the 14th, 16th, and 43rd minutes; two of those goals coming from the penalty spot. By halftime, Chase had soared to a stunning 4-0 lead.

The second half was no less thrilling, as Chase picked up right where they left off. Just three minutes in, Onesi Dunn added another goal in the 48th minute, solidifying their dominance. And as if to punctuate their triumph, Mark Glasgow slammed in a decisive strike in the 77th minute, sealing their fate as champions!

In a gripping battle for third place, West Ruimveldt Secondary edged out Charlestown Secondary in a nail-biting penalty shootout, with a thrilling 4-2 victory after a tense goalless draw in regulation time.

The tournament culminated in a grand celebration, complete with an official closing and prize-giving ceremony, where Chase Academic Foundation proudly hoisted their championship trophy.
