June 21 2026
CAM Motors officially launched in Guyana last evening, unveiling the Jetour and Foton brands and introducing a range of brand-new vehicles, including SUVs, 4x4s, and various types of trucks.

The new venture marked a significant expansion in the local automotive sector, offering fuel-powered vehicles designed to meet both personal and commercial needs. Most of the newly introduced SUVs are priced at just over $6 million, duties paid.

CAM Motors is a partnership between ATL Automotive, the Caribbean’s largest automotive dealer group, the Continental Group of Companies, and MMKJ Inc., combining regional expertise with international automotive innovation.

The launch event, held at the Railway Courtyard on Lamaha Street, featured the official debut of the brands and showcased their latest models to the Guyanese market.
Jetour introduced a modern lineup of SUVs, while Foton rolled out a range of commercial and utility vehicles aimed at supporting Guyana’s growing economy. The company also emphasized full after-sales service and customer support.
The event attracted President Dr. Irfaan Ali, Prime Minister Brigadier (Ret’d) Mark Phillips, government officials, private sector leaders, and invited guests.
The investment was seen as another sign of confidence in Guyana’s expanding economy and rising demand for quality vehicles and services.
