Brazilian nationals fined, deported for illegal entry

Two Brazilian nationals were fined and ordered deported after pleading guilty to illegally entering Guyana.
Franscio Lopes, 47, and Junior Condrad, 32, both of Boa Vista, Roraima, Brazil, appeared at the Lethem Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, where the charge was read to them by Magistrate Omadatt Chandan.
The men admitted to entering Guyana by crossing a land border without presenting themselves to an immigration officer, an offence under the country’s immigration laws.
Following their guilty pleas, each man was fined $30,000. The court also ordered their immediate deportation.
