A 28-year-old BOSAI employee was fatally shot in Wismar on Wednesday, August 19, in an incident reportedly stemming from a dispute over a woman.
Dead is Keron McDonald. The alleged shooter has been identified as 28-year-old gold miner Jamal Cumberbatch, also known as “Brains” or “One Nattie.” The two men were reportedly friends, but their relationship deteriorated after McDonald allegedly accused Cumberbatch of being involved with the mother of his child.

The men reportedly first argued at the home of a relative of McDonald before Cumberbatch drove to Hot and Spicy Street, Wismar. McDonald later arrived at the same location, where the dispute reportedly escalated into a scuffle.
Cumberbatch allegedly retrieved a firearm from his vehicle and shot McDonald to the chest before fleeing the area.
A woman subsequently transported the wounded man to the Linden Hospital Complex, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Cumberbatch was later arrested after reportedly returning to the scene. Police recovered a 9mm spent shell casing from the area, but the firearm allegedly used in the shooting has not been recovered.
Investigations into the fatal shooting are ongoing.
