One relative who spoke with this publication indicated that Ali turned 65 years old in July of this year. There was no clear indication of what injuries the body bore at the time of its discovery but the police are said to be treating the discovery as a ‘body found’ and will await a result of a postmortem before pronouncing if it was a hit and run accident or there was foul play involved.

An ambulance was summoned to the located and paramedics found that Ali had no pulse. As such police ranks placed the motionless body into a vehicle and escorted same to the Georgetown Public Hospital where doctors there pronounced the individual dead on arrival.

Checks in the area for CCTV footage came up empty-handed but the police are continuing their investigations into the discovery of the remains.
