BIOMED Energy & Dialysis Inc. has recently donated 15 dialysis machines to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation.

Spokesperson for BIOMED Steffi Sinclair in an invited comment stated “We are determined to ensure dialysis is accessible to all Guyanese afflicted with renal (kidney) failure.”

A large percentage of Guyanese are afflicted with hypertension and diabetes, which are the leading causes of kidney failure.

Biomed Energy & Dialysis Inc has recognised the growing demand for hemodialysis in Guyana and is determined to make it both affordable and accessible to all Guyanese in need.

Ms. Sinclair added that “We understand that the best place to start this endeavour would be the public hospital which sees countless new patients every month. We are honoured and committed to aid in the advancement of dialysis in Guyana.”

Kidney failure can be caused by diabetes and hypertension, and a large percentage of Guyanese have or are predisposed to these conditions.
