Ameir Ahmad, Honoured with Degree from Rajiv Gandhi University

November 11, 2024 – Sheriff General Hospital announced that its Managing Director, Ameir Ahmad, has received an honorary degree from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Science and Technology in recognition of his significant contributions to healthcare in Guyana.

 

The university lauded Mr. Ahmad’s dedication and influence within the healthcare community, citing his innovative leadership at Sheriff General Hospital, which has helped elevate standards of care and introduced advanced medical practices. “This honorary degree is a testament to Mr. Ahmad’s exceptional achievements and the profound impact he has made on healthcare in Guyana,” said Prof. Dr. Jitender Singh, the university’s Medical Director and Dean. “We are honored to recognize his efforts and believe his presence at our commencement ceremony will greatly inspire our graduates.”

 

A statement from Sheriff Group indicated that under Mr. Ahmad’s direction, Sheriff General Hospital has embraced state-of-the-art medical technologies and practices, furthering its reputation as a leader in patient care and safety in the region.

 

Mr. Ahmad will be formally awarded the degree at Rajiv Gandhi University’s upcoming commencement ceremony, during which he is also expected to offer insights from his extensive career in healthcare management.

 

The hospital and its staff extended their congratulations, expressing enthusiasm for continued progress and innovation under Mr. Ahmad’s visionary leadership.
