Guyana grabs 12 medals at 52nd CAC Bodybuilding Championship in St. Lucia

In a remarkable display of talent, grit and muscle definition, Guyana made a significant impact at the 52nd Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Bodybuilding and Fitness Championship held in St. Lucia from September 27 to 28.
Over two days of intense, the athletes showcased their chiseled and toned bodies to walk away with an impressive haul of 12 medals: 3 gold, 6 silver, and 3 bronze.
Leading the charge was Lindon Burnett, who secured 1 gold and 1 silver medal, demonstrating exceptional prowess in his events. Rawle Greene also had a stellar performance, clinching 1 gold and 2 silver medals, further solidifying Guyana’s presence on the podium.

Romelton Siland had a standout performance as well, achieving 1 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals, highlighting his versatility and competitiveness across multiple events. Savita Stephenson added to the medal tally with her impressive silver finish, while Antowyn Bayley contributed with 1 silver and 1 bronze medal.
Melitha Fernandes and Jonathan Jeffrey also represented Guyana with pride, finishing 5th and 6th in their respective events, showcasing the depth of talent within the Guyanese team.

President of the Guyana Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, Roger Callender was happy with the athletes and their performances.
“We took a team of seven athletes and came back with 12 medals; we put on an amazing performance. Congratulations to the athletes that went out there and got those medals for us. They represented us well and I am very proud of them, and I look forward to 2026 and hopefully we can take more athletes to represent Guyana well on the international stage,” Callender noted.
