GUYOIL supports International Day of the Girl Child celebrations

The Guyana Oil Company Limited (GUYOIL) has donated tokens to the Women and Gender Equality Commission in support of activities marking International Day of the Girl Child.

The contribution is aimed at supporting the Commission’s celebration of girls and promoting their empowerment, rights and opportunities.

GUYOIL said the initiative reflects its commitment to corporate social responsibility and efforts to support programmes that inspire and empower the next generation of female leaders.

The company also emphasised the importance of ensuring that girls have opportunities to pursue their ambitions, realise their potential and contribute meaningfully to society.

The International Day of the Girl Child highlights the importance of protecting girls’ rights, amplifying their voices and creating an environment where they can thrive without discrimination or barriers to their development.
