Police Corporal found dead in Corentyne home

Police are investigating the suspected suicide of 29-year-old Police Corporal Javier Adrian of Kildonan Village, Corentyne, Berbice.
The incident occurred at about 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Adrian’s residence.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the corporal was found unresponsive on the upper flat of the building. Police ranks and a Crime Scene Technician subsequently visited and processed the scene.
An examination of Adrian’s body revealed no visible marks of violence. He was transported to the Port Mourant Public Hospital, where a doctor pronounced him dead on arrival.
His body was taken to Ramoo’s Funeral Parlour, where it remains pending a post-mortem examination.
Investigations are ongoing.
