Chelsea Edghill, a two-time Olympian, expressed her satisfaction after successfully qualifying for the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games following a significant qualification event held over the weekend in the Dominican Republic.

In a conversation with Ignite News, Edghill shared her reflections on her qualification as the event approaches.

“It was really good qualifying in the singles, a bit disappointed in the teams but the girls gave it their best. Now it’s just about preparing for the CAC Games, and I am excited for what that holds and the training ahead,” Edghill remarked.

Edghill advanced directly to the quarterfinals, where she dominated Aruba’s Josielienne Boekhoudt with a score of 4-0.

Meanwhile, the men’s team, featuring Shemar Britton, Niram Bissu, Jonathan Van Lamge, and Elishaba Johnson, also secured their spot in the CAC Games by defeating Haiti and Trinidad and Tobago, finishing second in their group.
