Minister of Home Affairs Oneidge Walrond and officials from the Ministry of Education  today met with Director of the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU), James Singh, as part of efforts to strengthen a coordinated national approach to drug prevention in schools.

According to a post on the Facebook page of Minister Walrond, the meeting focused on improving collaboration between the education sector and law enforcement to address drug-related issues affecting students.

The engagement highlighted the importance of providing students with accurate information about the dangers of drug use while equipping them with the knowledge and support needed to make responsible decisions.

Officials noted that stronger cooperation between agencies is key to ensuring effective prevention initiatives are implemented within schools across the country.
