Six persons have been jointly charged with failing to report an unnatural death, after wanted man Jamal Bourne called ‘Skinny’ shot himself on a Facebook live broadcast on Sunday, January 18, 2025.

The accused were arrested on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, and formally charged on Monday, January 26, 2026. They are:

Shiloh Nurse, 26, of Church Street, Stanleytown, West Bank Demerara

Yashua Angoy, 20, of Second Street, Kaneville, East Bank Demerara

A 17-year-old male of Yarrowkabra, Linden Highway

Tyron Gill, also called “Ace,” 21, of North Ruimveldt, Georgetown

Latana Rambharrat, 18, of Belle West, West Bank Demerara

Sasha Lyken, 21, of Samatta Point Grove, East Bank Demerara

On Monday, the defendants appeared at the Linden Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Rushell Liverpool, where the charge was read to each of them separately.

All pleaded guilty and were each fined $9,750. The 17-year-old was sent away.

The charges stem from ongoing investigations into the death of wanted man Jamal Bourne, also known as “Skinny,” which has prompted intensified police operations in Linden.

On Wednesday, January 21, 2026, police made a grim discovery during sustained operations at Three Miles, Wisroc Housing Scheme, Wismar. Ranks uncovered what are believed to be burnt human remains, including ashes and bone fragments, along with firearms, ammunition and other items of interest.

The operation was conducted by Crime Scene Investigators from the Criminal Investigation Department, supported by canine units. The suspected remains were secured and are expected to undergo forensic examination to determine their origin and identity.

Police also searched a nearby wooden structure, where they found a suspected pistol fitted with an empty magazine, three shotgun cartridges, a suspected spent 9mm shell, knives, clothing and other materials believed to be linked to criminal activity. In nearby vegetation, three toy rifles were also recovered.

All exhibits have since been lodged, and the suspected human remains are to be examined by a Government Pathologist as investigators continue to piece together the circumstances surrounding Bourne’s death.

Bourne was wanted in relation to the murder of Akeem Hamer, which occurred at Pouderoyen, West Bank Demerara, on September 12, 2024.

A disturbing video that circulated widely on social media shows Bourne allegedly inflicting a gunshot wound to himself during a Facebook Live broadcast on Sunday, January 18, 2026. During the livestream, he was reportedly in the company of other individuals and was seen displaying what appeared to be several firearms. Although the video has since been removed from the platform, police say it remains a critical part of the investigation.

The Guyana Police Force has confirmed that investigations are ongoing and has assured the public that further details will be released as the probe continues.
