GuyExpo 2025 officially opened today at the National Exhibition Centre in Sophia, drawing hundreds of exhibitors, entrepreneurs, and innovators for the four-day national trade and investment showcase.

This year’s event brings together over 290 businesses presenting new products, bold ideas, and forward-looking solutions reflective of Guyana’s rapid economic transformation.

Under the theme “Transformation through Entrepreneurship and Innovation,” the exhibition promises an engaging and interactive experience for families, investors, and visitors. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce Susan Rodrigues urged exhibitors to maximize the opportunities available, particularly at the investment forum.

She encouraged business owners to confidently promote their brand and contributions to the country’s evolving marketplace. More than 100,000 visitors are projected to attend GuyExpo over the coming days.

The Minister also highlighted the significant progress made by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) nationwide, crediting strong government support for their growth.

Through the Small Business Bureau, over 13,000 small businesses have benefited from training and capacity-building initiatives in recent years. GuyExpo 2025 runs from November 13 to 16, with a major focus on local manufacturing and expanding opportunities for homegrown enterprises.
