22-Y-O Dies in Stanleytown Collision 

November 14, 2025 — Police in Berbice are investigating a fatal accident that occurred around 16:30 hrs on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Stanleytown Public Road, New Amsterdam.

The collision involved motor car PLL 6600, driven by a 56-year-old man of Lot 25 South Public Road, Lancaster Village, Corentyne, and motorcycle CP 1385, ridden by 22-year-old Daniel North, of 8th Street Village, East Bank Berbice, who died from his injuries.

According to initial investigations, the motor car was traveling north along the western driving lane at a normal rate of speed.

At the same time, the motorcycle was proceeding east along an access road on the western side of the same location, allegedly at a fast rate, when it collided with the left front side of the motor car.

North was rushed to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment.

The driver of the motor car is also receiving medical attention at the same facility.

Police say investigations are ongoing.
