Labour Ministry Launches Probe into Workplace Fatality at Good Hope

The Ministry of Labour and Manpower Planning has launched an investigation into the death of 48-year-old Kevin Browne, who reportedly fell from the roof of a building at Good Hope, East Coast Demerara, on Sunday, November 9, 2025.

According to the Ministry, the incident is being investigated by the Occupational Safety and Health Department to determine the circumstances that led to the fatal fall.

Minister of Labour and Manpower Planning, Keoma Griffith, has extended condolences to Browne’s relatives and friends, noting that the Ministry remains committed to ensuring safe working conditions across all sectors.

“Ministry of Labour and Manpower Planning Commences Investigation into Workplace Fatality at Good Hope, East Coast Demerara.

It has come to the attention of the Ministry of Labour and Manpower Planning that an unfortunate incident occurred on Sunday, November 9, 2025, resulting in the death of 48-year-old Mr. Kevin Browne, who reportedly fell from the roof of a building located at Good Hope, East Coast Demerara.

Details surrounding the incident are still emerging, and the Ministry’s Occupational Safety and Health Department has launched an investigation into the matter.
