Hospital Worker Arrested for Filming Lola in Hospital, ‘Randell’ Released on Bail

Police have arrested a 20-year-old Orthopedic Technician following allegations that he unlawfully recorded shooting victim Lolita Callender, known as Lola Doll, while she was being treated at the Georgetown Public Hospital on Saturday, September 6, 2025.

The suspect reportedly admitted to filming Callender on his cellphone but denied publishing the video on Facebook. Instead, he told investigators he had shared it with his ex-girlfriend via WhatsApp and later deleted it after realizing the footage was circulating on social media.

His cellphone has since been seized and handed over to the Cybercrimes Unit for analysis. Investigators are also seeking to locate the ex-girlfriend as part of the ongoing probe.

Meanwhile, the Guyana Police Force confirmed that investigations into the attempted murder of Callender are continuing. On Thursday, September 11, 2025, the mandatory 72-hour detention period for suspect Paul Daby Jr., also known as Randell, expired.

He has since been released on $1 million bail under strict reporting conditions.
