An Enmore, East Coast Demerara man has been granted bail in the sum of $50,000 after being charged with trafficking cannabis-infused gummies.

23-year-old Tyreek Jagnandan appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Faith McGusty at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, where the charge was read to him. He pleaded not guilty.

The charge alleges that on May 23, 2025, at Quamina Street, Georgetown, Jagnandan was found in possession of 3.75 pounds of cannabis-infused gummies for the purpose of trafficking.

His attorney, Yuborn Allicock, told the court that Jagnandan was not a flight risk and requested his release on self-bail. The prosecutor objected, highlighting the significant quantity of narcotics involved and noting that the accused has another matter pending before the court.

After hearing both sides, Magistrate McGusty granted bail and adjourned the matter to September 24, 2025, for disclosure.
