Slingerz FC continues to dominate the Guyana Football Federation’s Elite League Season 7, remaining unbeaten atop the table with 12 wins out of 13 matches.
The latest standings reveal that Western Tigers hold second place with 9 wins, 4 draws, and 2 losses from 15 games, while the Guyana Police Force sits in third with 8 wins, 3 draws, and 1 loss in 12 matches.
Defending champions Guyana Defence Force are in fourth place with 8 wins, followed by Monedderlust in fifth with 7 wins. The remaining teams in the league include Santos, Ann’s Grove, Den Amstel, Fruta Conquerors, and Mainstay Gold Star.
Over the weekend, fans witnessed an exciting match between Monedderlust and Western Tigers at the National Training Centre, which ended in a thrilling 3-3 draw. Monedderlust took an early lead with a goal from Atlyn Brown, but Western Tigers quickly equalized through William Europe. After a back-and-forth contest, Europe secured his second goal to give the Tigers a 3-1 lead, but Monedderlust fought back to earn a share of the points.
Western Tigers remain in second place with 31 points, six points behind league leaders Slingerz FC, who have 37 points and two games in hand. The Guyana Police Force is currently on 27 points.
